Login Changes to the CED

Starting in December of the 2023 the CED was required to update its login and authentication protocols.

This means different things depending on agency you are with. However, for all users, your CED username will be going away, you will now login only with your email.

If you currently have a CED account, your profile, records, and other information will remain, nothing will be lost or unavailable to you.

Department of Interior Users: You will be able to login using your Bison Connect email and your PIV Card and PIN (detailed instructions below)

Non-Department of Interior Users: You will either need to sign up for or use your login.gov account associated with your work email in the CED (detailed instructions below)

Register for a User Account

Registration is required for full access to the CED’s features, including data entry. As of December 2023, the CED is using Department of the Interior Multiple Factor Authentication for login. DOI and Non-DOI users will use or create a login.gov account for registration. Reference login.gov’s instructions to Create an account for new users or Manage your account to change your password, change the email address associated with your account, and add or change your authentication method to connect your PIV credentials to your account.
